A lot is happening in our sector right now. A month ago, the IEA (International Energy Agency) stated that investments in new projects for fossil fuel extraction need to end. The next ten years are crucial for reducing global CO2
-emissions, according to the energy agency. The Dutch court also ordered Shell to increase and accelerate the planned CO2
-reduction and the company was ordered to reduce the CO2
-emissions of its customers. In addition, through the Green Deal, the European Union is committed to accelerated CO2
-reduction and new climate targets. It is expected that the European Commission will soon come up with new measures based on a 55 percent CO2
-reduction by 2030.
Because of all these important changes and movements in the field, FinCo arranged an article in the Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad
